Which currency does Genius Design use to feature its products?

Genius Design is a Canadian company and all its products are in Canadian dollars. This is an important information to consider when you do price comparisons with US brands, as the gap can be quite big! For instance, a price marked USD100 will be compared to around CAD141.

Who can place an order?

You’re 18 or older and you love beautifully designed objects? Then you can place an order! You’ll need a Client Account though.

Why do I need a Client Account to place an order?

In short, to make your shopping experience at Genius Design more personal, faster and easier. No purchase is necessary to create a Client Account. 

How do I create / modify my Client Account?

To create an account, click on "Login" in the top navigation menu. It only takes a few minutes. If your contact information or preferences change, you can update your account at any time. To do so, under "Login", login to your account and proceed with the changes. The same goes if you wish to change your password. Note that your Client Account information is confidential and protected. Refer to our Privacy Policy to learn more.

I forgot my password… What should I do?

We’ve all been there! To reset your password, go to the "Login" link at the top of the page, then on the top right section of the page, you’ll find the password reset section. Simply enter your email address, click on ‘Reset’. We will email you a temporary password shortly thereafter.

How can I close my Client Account?

We’d be sad to see you go… If you're experiencing an issue with our site or service, please let us know: we're here to help. That said, you can close your account by sending us a request at wecare@geniusdesign.info.

How can I change my email address?

You must access your account via the email address you want to change using the "Register as a new customer" button on the yellow menu bar at the top right corner of the site. On the form containing your profile data, change the old email address to the new one and save it.

What does GeniusDesign do with my personal data?

We use all possible technological means to protect your personal data. Our servers do not require any confidential information.
 
Only your email address needs to be added in order to receive our news bulletins, with your formal consent. The Unsubscribe option is still available at the end of our emails.
 
To improve our platform, we may use browsing data and purchasing habits to compile
 
statistics on usage of our site. This data will be accessed on an aggregated basis (without identifying a particular user) and only by and for the GeniusDesign team. It will never be shared with a third party or resold to another company for selling or solicitation purposes.

How can I pay my order to GeniusDesign?

When you're ready to ckeck out, GeniusDesign will direct you to the PayPal protected site. Please note that once on PayPal you do not have to open a PayPal account if you don't want to, and you can pay with your credit card. For GeniusDesign, using payPal services means that no sensitive financial information (e.g., your credit card number) goes through our website.
GeniusDesign has a global window and the PayPal option reassures our customers they can complete their transactions under optimum security conditions.
 
 

Do I have to buy the items I have selected in my shopping cart?

No. You can stop your online shopping at any time, even if your cart contains one or more items. You can also delete items right up to the last minute before confirming and paying your order.

How can I place an order with Genius Design?

Orders can only be placed via our website. Here are the main steps involved in our online ordering process:

  • Browse our selection of items and add desired items to your shopping cart.

  • When you have finished adding items to your cart, click on ‘’Next’’ to proceed to checkout.

  • During the checkout process, you will be prompted to provide personal, delivery, and billing details.

  • Review your Final Order, including items ordered, quantities and prices, as well as shipping fees and applicable taxes, if any.

  • If the information you have entered is correct, submit your order by clicking on ‘Secure Payment’.

  • Once your payment has been successfully processed, you will receive an e-mail confirming your purchase. 

What are the accepted payment methods for GeniusDesign.club?

When you're ready to check out, you are directed to the PayPal protected site. The following three options are available:
  1.     Without having to open a PayPal account, use one of the following credit cards to make the payment (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).
  2.     Create a PayPal account, then use one of the following credit cards to make the payment (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) or make a funds transfer from your bank account.

Must I have or open a PAYPAL ACCOUNT to pay my order on Genius?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! GeniusDesign transfers you to the PayPal website to offer you the most secure environment for your transaction. However, once on its homepage, PayPal gives you the opportunity to pay directly using your credit card or a Visa debit card.

Does PayPal charge transaction fees?

Yes. But they are charged to Genius Design, not to you.

Which carriers does GeniusDesign use?

For each ordered item, we use a carrier management service that determines the best service and rates among national carriers (i.e., companies working on the territory of the designer that is shipping) and international carriers (UPS and FedEx), who compete to give you the best options on the market. Parcels will be delivered within a maximum of 20 days from the shipping date.

How long will it take to receive my order?

All GeniusDesign partners are committed to post on our platform those items that are ready-to-ship within a maximum of 48 hours following your purchase date. Once the carrier collects your item(s), you'll receive an email confirming the shipment, along with a tracking number. The delivery time may vary depending on your location, the shipping rate you selected, and the location of the designer from whom you are buying items.

How can I track my order?

Except in exceptional and rare cases, all GeniusDesign designers, regardless of their country of residence, choose transportation options that include a tracking number. Whatever the origin and the destination of your order, a unique and personalized tracking number will be communicated to you:

  • By email
  • A few minutes after your purchase
  • For each of your orders

You'll then be able to check its delivery status.

How are the carrier costs set?

The carrier costs for an ordered item may vary depending on its weight, dimensions, origin and destination places. Once you establish your shopping cart, we invite carriers to bid in order to offer you several transportation options and let you choose what best fits your time and budget. As our pool of designers grows, GeniusDesign will be increasingly able to negotiate competitive agreements with its partners and get even better rates ... for you!

What is GeniusDesign's return policy?

Genius Design offers you an easy return policy in 2 parts.

1. Policy on motivated returns

For all its brands, Genius Design manages the following situations at its expense:

  • You received the wrong article
    • Keep the packing box and other packaging received.
    • Take pictures of the received article.
    • Contact Genius Design: wecare@geniusdesign.info or (438) 397-5481, with a copy of your invoice in hand, so that we can return the right product to you at our expense. We will inform you whether or not to send the original article back to destination.
  • You received a damaged item
    • Keep the packing box and other packaging in a safe place.
    • Take pictures of the damage, including the item but also the packaging.
    • Contact Genius Design as soon as possible: wecare@geniusdesign.info or (438) 397-5481, with a copy of your invoice. We must, on a case by case basis, assess the nature of the breakage, the repair options, and therefore a personalized solution will be proposed accordingly, always with the aim of satisfying you at 100%.
  • You received a defective item
    • Keep the packing box and other packaging in a safe place.
    • Take photos or video of the damage.
    • Contact Genius Design as soon as possible at wecare@geniusdesign.info or (438) 397-5481, with a copy of your invoice. We will have to evaluate the nature of the problem, the repair options, the product guarantees specific to each designer, and therefore a personalized solution will be proposed accordingly, always with the aim of satisfying you at 100%.


2. Policy on non-motivated returns

Genius Design allows you to change your mind and return an item without a reason. The parameters of this policy are as follows:
  • You have 10 working days to notify Genius Design of your return.
  • The article must be in perfect condition.
  • The costs of return are at your expense. Please note that the item will not be returned to Genius Design's office, but rather to the designer who manufactured the product.
  • If you are in this situation, please contact Genius Design at wecare@geniusdesign.info or (438) 397-5481, with a copy of your invoice. A customer service representative will help you resolve this issue.
  • Some brands may be excluded from the policy of return without motivation. In this case, Genius Design clearly communicates the information in the FAQs under the heading "Which products have specific return policies?" and in the "More Info" tab of the product page.
 

Which products have special return policy?

CONCEPT ZERO

  1. Does not manage non-motivated returns (Part II of Genius Design' policy). Does not accept returns or sales cancellation. All sales are final.
  2. Does manage moticated returns (wrong item shipped; damages). Email us a picture or a video of your damaged ferrofluid display, we will IMMEDIATELY ship you a new one.

 

DEINERI

STEPS TO FOLLOW IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED A DAMAGED PRODUCT:
1. Please contact Genius within seven (7) days of your stand’ART delivery date. 
2. Keep the original package packaging to ship the product again to return the product.
3. Take photos of damaged artwork and packaging. Please email these photos as well as your contact information (name, order number, phone number and email) to Genius.

DEI NERI WARRANTY

At deiNERI our attention to detail ensures you get a superior product made with only the finest materials. These materials have been tested to provide peace of mind when it comes to durability and security. Our goal is to create inspiring environments that will be catalysts to memorable gatherings. Please read the following carefully to understand the duration and limitations of the deiNERI stand’ART warranty:

Limitation

  • deiNERI’s warranty covers only manufacturing defects.
  • deiNERI’s warranty applies only to stand’ART products used within normal residential settings and in accordance with the maintenance and usage instructions. Therefore some products need to be properly secured (proper anchors or proper weights as described in the installation instructions) to be covered under this warranty.
  • deiNERI stand’ART cannot be used for any other purpose than that for which the product was designed and sold for. Only deiNERI’s Artwork can be used in a stand’ART
  • deiNERI does not recommend or warranty the use of the stand’ART in wind conditions which exceed 80 Km/hour or 50 miles/hour.
  • deiNERI’s artwork is marked by a unique number and/or a certificate indicating that the proper varnish or pigments were used and that it is safe to be placed in an exterior environment. Without this mention, the stand’ART should only be used in an interior setting.
  • deiNERI warranty will not cover any scratches or other superficial damage occurring from users negligence or accidental damage with foreign objects during normal operation.
  • For exterior usage, deiNERI will not cover any damage to the stand’ART (art or base) which occurs as a result of contact with the ground or any other foreign object which occurs as a result of wind or other acts of nature.
  • deiNERI will not cover damage caused by users improper cleaning, application of inappropriate chemicals, detergents, or corrosive material such as acid, solvents or any other product not recommended in the maintenance and usage instructions.
  • deiNERI is not responsible for the color accuracy of any original works of art, digital works or printed works displayed on the site,web and disclaims all liability in this regard, because each computer monitor may display colors differently.
  • deiNERI will not cover any damage due to repairs made by technicians not authorised by deiNERI.

Duration

  • This warranty is valid for eighteen (18) months from the date of delivery of the product to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects only.
  • Under this warranty, deiNERI will replace or repair at its discretion. Any returns must be sent via prepaid freight, with a return authorization number and in the original retail packaging.
  • deiNERI does not supply any other kind of warranties other than those hereby mentioned. The retailer and/or third parties may not alter the terms of this warranty, nor may they issue any other warranty statements in any form on behalf of deiNERI.
  • The redeemable value of all warranties provided herewith shall be prorated over the life of the specific limited warranty itself. deiNERI may, at its sole discretion, waive any and all associated warranty or shipping charges as any specific case may warrant. In all cases, the warranty claimant shall be responsible for all shipping and/or freight charges incurred by claimant or deiNERI as a result of a warranty claim. All warranty claims must be submitted with an original proof of purchase dated from the dealer of origin, a description of the damaged product, including how the damage was thought to have occured, along with photos of the damaged product. The warranty is available only to the original purchaser of a deiNERI product.
     

Is Genius Design charging me for sales taxes?

The delivery address in your order will determine whether Genius Design will charge you sales taxes and if so, for what amount.

1) If the shipping address is in Canada, taxes will be applied to the total amount of the invoice, according to the following provincial parameters:

 

  • Alberta: GST (5%)
  • British Columbia: GST (5%) + PST (7%)
  • Manitoba: GST (5%) + PST (8%)
  • New Brunswick: HST (15%)
  • Newfoundland and Labrador: HST (15%)
  • Northwest Territories: GST (5%)
  • Nova Scotia: HST (15%)
  • Nunavut: GST (5%)
  • Ontario: HST (13%)
  • Prince Edward Island: HST (15%).
  • Québec: GST (5%) + QST (9,975%)

2) If the delivery address is outside of Canada, Genius Design does not collect any sales tax.

Will I be refunded for the costs of the return?

If your return is a motivated return (bad article, damaged item, defective item), Genius Design will bear the transport costs incurred in solving the problem.

If your return is a non motivated return (Genius Design allows you to change your mind and return an item without a reason), the costs of return are at your expensePlease note that the item will not be returned to Genius Design's office, but rather to the designer who manufactured the product.

The parameters of this policy are as follows:

Do I have to pay custom fees?

Usually, customs fees are charged to the customer when the country of origin of the package is different from the country of destination.

  • For each supplier, GeniusDesign clearly indicates the origin of the delivery, at least within the biography of the designer, which allows you to know if you reside in the same country as the designer or not.
  • These charges are invoiced by the shipping company, and are due upon delivery of your order.
  • The amount of these fees is usually calculated on the basis of the invoice amount and therefore the value of the item. The percentage applied is extremely difficult to estimate, as it varies according to the delivery companies, countries of origin, the type of product purchased, and so on.

What is the maximum length for my product's name?

You can use up to 50 characters.

 

Why should I enhance my GeniusDesign product's name?

Your product name (as well as the main picture) is critical information displayed on the home page and search results. So it should be a catchy name (e.g.: AlphaRomeo chair, Design reamer).

 

How much space do I have to describe my product?

You may use up to 500 characters.

 

How can I write effective content on GeniusDesign?

It's crucial to put yourself in the shoes of prospective buyers who can see similar offers elsewhere, but who don't know your product or its special qualities. How do you convince them it's just what they want or need? Make a list of 3 to 5 main points and put them in your description. Think "added-value": the quality of the material, the outstanding durability of the product, the care with which it is assembled, the attractive finish, its usefulness and sustainability... If the product has received certifications, awards, recognition, references: mention them here!

 

What specifications apply for the images displayed on GeniusDesign?

The resolution of the main photo must be exactly 1080 x 600 pixels.

Additional photos must be at least 600 x 600 pixels.

We recommend that you add three other photos of your product, in the same colour as the main one, but from different angles. This makes it easier for customers to visualize the item, to clarify questions or concerns they may have. And while the dimensions and other features are mentioned, it's also important to place the item in a setting that shows its relative size and use. Shoot at least one image that puts it into a context, i.e., by suggesting a certain way of life (e.g., show a kitchen item on a counter with other utensils).

 

Is it essential that my pictures meet the exact required form?

Yes, otherwise the downloading won’t perform properly.

Fortunately, there are several software programs, free online, that let you crop your images easily and accurately.

 

Is it possible to simply crop my pictures without costs?

Yes. Several online software programs can do it. Image cropping on the Web (or reframing) is very quick and easy and consists of cutting the edges of your image as you wish. Doing it online avoids the need to install an image processing software. We recommend the following sites:

Returns and refunds

What is the return policy of GeniusDesign?

We have established an easy and convenient return policy so that you enjoy your online shopping experience. If you aren't fully satisfied with your purchase, you can return any product you bought online within 14 days of receipt.

 

Here's how:

  1. Access your account by clicking on "Register as a new customer" on the yellow menu bar at the top right corner of the site.

  1. Below the "eBills" tab is the prepaid return label to download and print.

  2. Prepare your parcel with the original packaging or a box with the same strength features.

  3. Affix the label on the box in such a way as to hide the initial shipment data. With our return service, you are guaranteed to be reimbursed in the event of loss or theft during delivery.

  4. Mail the parcel at the post office or contact the carrier to arrange a date and address for pick-up.

 

Will I be refunded for the costs of the return?

We will reimburse your costs of return in the amount of standard delivery charges in the following cases:

  • You received the wrong item

  • You received a damaged item

  • You received a defective item

 

Please note that we will issue this refund only if the items are returned to us in the proper manner. If the return does not meet these conditions, we cannot reimburse you and the parcel will be sent back to you.
